Course Description:  This Continuing Education class is open to practitioners of Structural Integration who have graduated from an IASI Approved SI Training Program.
The shoulder girdle has only one bony connection to the body, making it particularly vulnerable to injury unless accompanied by structural and functional balance throughout the system. As bodyworkers, we need a thorough understanding of shoulder girdle adaptability and stability, not only to help our clients more effectively with common complaints but also to care for our own bodies and enjoy long careers. In this class, you’ll: Delve deep into shoulder girdle health and whole-body relationships Explore shoulder girdle adaptability and stability and identify common reasons it often goes awry Review and address some of the most common shoulder girdle injuries and conditions and practice specific ways to address them Use body reading and assessment tools to create more specific interventions Learn practices that you can teach clients to facilitate shoulder girdle health at home.
